The Daily Breadcrumb

”The Bible is meant to be bread for daily use, not cake for special occasions.”

Quote of the day

“Speak to people in a way that if they died the next day, you’d be satisfied with the last thing you said to them.”

  • Let that sit in silence with you for a moment.
  • If the last thing you said to any human, was negative, mean, our of anger, would you regret those words you let leave you lips? Would you wish that you could go back and change it, wish that wasn’t the last thing you said to them.
  • JAMES 1:19-20 – “My dear brothers and sisters, take not of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.”
  • PROVERBS 29:11 – “Fools give full vent to their rage, but the wise bring calm in the end.”
  • PROVERBS 15:1 – “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.”
  • EPHESIANS 4:29 – “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.”

What you say to people matters, and even more how you say it. It could be a stranger on the street that you may never interact with another day in your life, but it still matters. Don’t leave the wish of changing something you said built up in your life. Simply find it in yourself to not say them in the first place. We as humans as people need to do better about how we treat and interact with each other.
