Devil vs. Flesh

Your flesh is a greater enemy than the devil will ever be. The devil is already defeated, your flesh isn’t. And news flash your flesh does not care whee you spend eternity because it’s not going with you.

THE FLESH- represents human nature apart form God, driven by selfish desires, pride, and sin.

THE SPIRIT- Represents the Holy Spirit working within a believer, producing love, joy, and self-control.

THE INTERNAL CONFLICT- Christian theology views this as a daily spiritual battle between old sinful habits and new life in Christ.

• We can not allow our selfs to be lead by the flesh. Because are flesh is not on the same side as the spirit and we will be at war you can only truly follow one. So which one would you rather follow?
• GALATIONS 5:16-17 “walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the Desiree’s of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh.”
• Romans 8:5 “Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.”
• Matthew 26:41 “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
