ISAIAH 43:18-19___The Lord says, “Forget what happened before, and do not think about the past. Look at the new thing I am going to do. It is already happening. Don’t you see.”
EZEKIEL 36:26___ And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart.
——The Lord just wants a relationship with us. He will open up so many things in your life if you will just allow him to. That’s the thing, you have to be willing God to do the work in you. “I will give you a new heart,”. I am very aware how one’s self can become jaded to the world, to the people, coloring how we interact with people, and how we act in general. Not only through my own experiences but also see how my Ex-husband grew up and hearing his stories. Unlike him I wanted to change I wanted God to shape me into the person I am becoming in this life. He had one of the most hardened hearts I think I have ever encountered in my life. And it broke my heart every day seeing it, because I also so the good in him, I saw what could become of him if he would allow God to work on him.
—-Sometimes it hard to let go of the past I read a quote that says, “healing is when you stop telling the story that broke you and start living the story that rebuilt you.” It hit me hard because He has changed so much in my life, and is still molding me into a better person, a more Godly person. But I still feel the need to tell that story. Sometimes I have to audibly tell myself that I am not that person anymore, she is dead and in the grave where she belongs. The thing is some people in your life, will only ever see you as that person. The person you used to be. They will only ever refer to the bad things, those people will tear you down. That is why the bible tells us to find people who are yoked the same as us, people that are growing in God with us.
—-I believe that every person on this planet has good in them, each person has been walking their own path which has caused them some type of grieves in life. It has changed their perspectives on life. And each have their own views on the wold, how they act. But when you meet someone care, enough to ask them their name, ask them their story. Because it can say a lot about a person, you can learn where they are coming from before you snap judge someone. I do know the first part sounds naive, I know there are people who bad things in this world, but what if we as believers planted that seed in them, what if one of us was the person that changed their life. Not by pushing religion down their throats but just being a genuine nice person to them, by showing them God’s testimony through us.
—okay, so maybe I’m just ranting now. But from this I hope you find the light, and find a reason each day to smile at a stranger, to hold a door open for someone.
